This class explores an approach to character development rooted in the collaborative work between American acting pioneers and Konstantin Stanislavsky.

Students will participate in a detailed breakdown of a realistic play starting with an analysis of the playwrights idea. In the rehearsal process students will acquire a full understanding of the text and all character relationships, so they are prepared to move seamlessly from rehearsal to performance level work.

All the tools of a technique will be used so that character choices are clear, specific and motivating.
